Mentorship 2026

Is up and running for the year - Please add your name to the waitlist for the next cohort offering.

February -December 2026

Learn with Jennifer Shepherd, MSPT, CFMT, FMTF, FAAOMPT, IFMCP

Why Mentorship?

I have taken 2-3 continuing education courses a year over my 26 years as a Physical Therapist. Sure I had more tools in my toolbox, but precision of my hands, the integration of techniques, and clinical reasoning was missing. I believe Mentorship is the most effective and efficient way, both in time and finances, to develop therapists in to Master Clinicians.

Why become a Master Clinician?

When you have the confidence in your hands for both assessment and treatment, clinical reasoning, and the full skill set to support the whole person, you will experience, exponentially, both professional and personal satisfaction and inspiration to take your career where you can thrive as a person and change the lives of others.

Mentorship in Integrative Manual Physical Therapy 2026

Assessment and Restorative Treatment for the Whole Human Organism

February - December 2026

Online Self Study (New module opens the first of each month)

+

In Person&Zoom (3rd Wed of each month, 6-8pm EST, Westlake, OH/Zoom)

Whether or not you specialize in a specific area of the body or a specific diagnosis, it's important to understand the multiple relationships that go on throughout the body and often there are other areas and structures that contribute to the specific issues your patient brings to you.

When you are able to address a patient's symptoms by restoring efficient, structural and functional health their entire organism is healthier, and we see symptom reduction, and improved vitality.

Here is what we will be learning over our time together, in a step by step, yet integrative process, that you can begin to implement and integrate in your clinic immediately...

  • Learn expert level clinical reasoning
  • Understand relationships throughout the body, including: organs, fascia, joints, muscles, and systems
  • Learn relationships of "inside the container" and "outside the container"
  • Develop observational skills of efficient/inefficient movement and positioning throughout the body
  • Enhance subjective interviewing and questioning to gather deeper information and clues
  • Learn basic Functional Medicine concepts and how to integrate them within assessment and treatment planning
  • Develop precision in your hands for assessment and effective treatment of structures including: joints, fascia, organs, nerves, vessels
  • Deepen your knowledge of anatomy and anatomical relationships
  • Learn how to assess the effectiveness of your techniques
  • Understand length-tension, fluid dynamics, electroductivity and neuroplasticity relationships throughout the body
  • Learn precise, effective neuromuscular re-education concepts

Conditions and symptoms we will be addressing and exploring through a systems-based, whole person approach:

  • Back and Neck Pain
  • Upper and Lower Extremity Pain and Dysfunction
  • Cranium/Brain Health/TMJ
  • Nerve and neurological disorders
  • Women’s pelvic health
  • Urinary System
  • Neuroendocrine
  • Detoxification
  • Autonomic Nervous System
  • Trauma -both physical and emotional
  • The complex of complex...
  • And more

Who this is for:

Physical Therapists who know there is more we can do to understand and serve patients, want to improve personal career satisfaction and purpose, and desire to improve the quality of healthcare in the US. Regardless of your specific discipline, you will learn how to look at the body as a whole, integrative system and have the skills to optimize the structure and function of the body to promote healing and rehabilitation.

Regardless of your experience in Manual Therapy, you will learn how to develop greater precision in your hands for identification and restoration and improvement of joint, tissue, and organ health, and you will learn how to organize, assess results, and determine next right techniques.

Tentative Course Outline

Each month I will present new concepts online for you to learn at your own pace and consider as you work with your patients.

During our 2-hour monthly live meetups, we will:

  • discuss patient cases you are seeking guidance (regardless of monthly topic)
  • practice specific skills you wish to improve immediately
  • discuss new material from self-study modules
  • practice new techniques and sequencing

You will need someone to practice on beginning  30 minutes into our meeting.

Over the year, we may go faster, we may go slower, depending on your needs. I have LOTS to share, but want to make sure you master the basics and NOT get overwhelmed!
